In our 2nd year, our football and cheer program took some big steps forward. We had 2 teams make the playoffs (verse 0 the year before). Our rookie team made it to the Conference championship game (one game before the Super Bowl). We also had two Heisman finalists in our program. Our cheer program had 2nd place finish and a 3rd place finish in the FL Elite Cheer Competition. These are big accomplishments for a true 2nd year program, especially in one of the toughest leagues in Central FL area.
Our wrestling program took a giant step forward. We competed well, and had many wrestlers place at the tournaments we attended. It was awesome to see the kids develop. Coach Greyson and Coach Jeff and their assistants did an awesome job.
2020 will be even better! We had a late start for football and cheer this past season due to a last minute field change (one that we feel will ultimately be a great move for our future). Now that we will be in the same area for next season, we can begin recruiting and training early. Financially, we are ending the season in a strong position, so we will be able to invest into more equipment and training for our athletes. We have agreements from specialized coaches to come out and work with the athletes at their respective positions during the offseason, so please keep an eye out for the updates on days and locations for these trainings. Wrestling season should be starting back up soon (I am working with the county to finalize a new location).
Like we preach to our athletes and parents, its all about progress. We will continue to work to make our program better. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any suggestions or concerns.
